Volkswagen India launched Ameo priced INR 5.24 to 7.05 lakh

Volkswagen India today launched the new Ameo, the sub 4-metre compact sedan. Price is very competitive with it’s rivals like Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Figo.

Ameo has been launched with the 1.2L 3-cylinder MPI engine mated to 5-speed manual gear box. And will launch later, the higher version of 1.5-litre diesel mated with both manual and DSG automatic transmissions. The petrol engine’s power and torque output is rated at 74hp / 110Nm while the 1.5-litre diesel will be 89 hp / 230Nm.

Price starts from 5.24 lakh to 7.05 lakh ex. showroom New Delhi.
