It turned out that the year 2020 was more daunting than carmakers would have liked. A recession was seen by the Indian auto industry that could take a few years to come out of. But still, it’s time to look ahead, with the pandemic-ridden year nearly over. Many motorcycle manufacturers, especially premium players, are getting ready to launch a range of motorcycles in 2021, amid a double-digit sales dip. We list the top seven upcoming bikes 2021, that have been confirmed for launch in India in 2021.
Royal Enfield 650 CC Cruiser (Upcoming Bikes 2021)
For Royal Enfield in India, the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 were runaway successes. It is therefore only wise for the company to make the most of this outstanding platform and introduce further models based on it.
Well, a 650 cc cruiser motorcycle which is likely to be based on the KX design seen at EICMA 2018 is already being tested by the company. A bolt-on cradle frame and the 648 cc parallel-twin engine were spotted in the Royal Enfield KX-based cruiser test mule. It is plausible that the strength and torque statistics are also similar to the 650 twins.
The test mule was also seen with upfront USD forks, which is a first for motorcycles from Royal Enfield. Then there are also the alloy wheels that could have been shielded by tubeless tyres. This may also result in the Pirellis that are used on the 650 Twins being replaced by improved rubber.
The launch time frame is not verified, but we expect RE’s latest 650 cc cruiser to be launched in the second half of 2021.
Aprilia RS 660/Tuono 660 (Upcoming Bikes 2021)

It is based on a brand-new 659 cc parallel twin-engine, and the naked Aprilia Tuono 660. will also have the same platform. At 10,500 rpm and 67 Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm, the parallel-twin produces 99 bhp.

The motor is paired to a 6-speed gearbox which comes with a slipper clutch as normal. With minor improvements to specifications, features and styling, the BS6 version is expected to have the same design.

Ducati recently pulled the wraps off the new 2021 Monster. In terms of styling, performance and specifications, the latest naked roadster from Ducati gets important updates.
The good news is that it will be coming to India next year. A complete departure from the design style of the earlier Monster range is the styling on the current Monster. Now the motorcycle is having a lot of edges and becoming sleeker and meaner.
The 2021 Ducati Monster gets a liquid-cooled 937 cc L-Twin Testastretta motor. The engine is also used on other Ducati series, such as the 2021 SuperSport and the Hypermotard.
It is tuned to produce 110 bhp at 9,250 rpm on the Giant, along with a peak torque output of 93 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The latest Beast is expected to be priced about rupees 11 lakhs to 12 lakhs. There are two models of the bike, the Monster and the Monster Plus.
Husqvarna Vitpilen 401/Svartpilen 401 (Upcoming Bikes 2021)
Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and the Vitpilen 401 will be launched by Bajaj Auto in India in 2020, probably in the first half of 2021. India is still manufacturing motorcycles for export, and Bajaj plans to extend its Husqvarna range in the country after the launch of the Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 250.
The forthcoming Husqvarna 401 twins get the same KTM 390 Duke 373.2 cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 43.5 bhp and generates 37 Nm of peak torque and is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox.
The Vitpilen 401 will be a trendy cafe racer, carrying on from the 250 cc motorcycles, while the Svartpilen 401 will be an urban scrambler. We assume that, due to wire-spoke wheels, more suspension movement and improved electronics, the Svartpilen 401 would be better suited to cope with mild off-road terrain.
