While making an appreciating statement for the Union budget. Karnataka’s Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said that the electric making company Tesla will set up its production(Manufacturing) in Karnataka, India.
Yediyurappa also tweeted, that Tesla would start its operations in India with an R&D unit in Bengaluru. The tweet which was deleted after a couple of hours had generated more than 8,500 likes and 1,800 retweets.
Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari was says that Tesla has taken the first steps towards launching operations in India.

He also tweeted about making India his next destination, as promised; for which there were 4.12 million reactions from his followers. While replying to a tweet, he stats that tesla cars would be expensive for Indians. It’ll become affordable to the country’s middle-class segment when production will start in India.
The Chief Minister said that an investment of Rs 7,725 crore will create 2.8 lakh jobs in Tumakuru. Yediyurappa said it would make way for a $5 trillion economy by 2025.
Gaurav Gupta, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries of Karnataka earlier told that Bengaluru is not only the technology capital but also the aerospace and space capital and that it had the right kind of talent pool for any kind of technology collaboration.

The listing was surfaced on Twitter by Tesla Club India, which is a Tesla fan account. It also tracked down the location of Telsa’s new office.
This is a welcome move as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is promoting the use of electric vehicles to reduce the country’s oil dependence. California-based Tesla venturing Indian EV industry, Karnataka will pave India’s way towards Green Mobility. The cheapest vehicle of Tesla Model 3 is will be the first launch that would cost about 55lakhs.
