Tesla To Set Up Electric Car Manufacturing Unit In Karnataka, India

While making an appreciating statement for the Union budget. Karnataka’s Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said that the electric making company Tesla will set up its production(Manufacturing) in Karnataka, India.

Yediyurappa also tweeted, that Tesla would start its operations in India with an R&D unit in Bengaluru. The tweet which was deleted after a couple of hours had generated more than 8,500 likes and 1,800 retweets.

This is a welcome move as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is promoting the use of electric vehicles to reduce the country’s oil dependence.
