Renault Kiger is a beautiful SUV by Renault, finally launching its long-awaited compact SUV in the Indian domestic market today. Kiger is all set to foray into the competitive space of a sub-4-meter SUV. The carmaker takes pride in the styling and attractive pricing of Kiger in the contested segment mostly alongside Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonnet, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, and Honda WR-V.
It will be aggressively positioned against its competitors and the Renault Kiger price will around Rs. 5.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Kiger has the largest boot space in the segment and it will also offer a roomy cabin with cubby holes and spaces that will enhance its practicality factor.
It is based on CMF-A+ architecture, in a similar fashion o the Nissan Magnite. The Renault Kiger is targetting high volume sales and it will more likely play a key role to bring the brand to the next level.
Specification
It is powered by a 1.0-liter NA petrol delivering 72 PS and 96 Nm and 1.0-liter turbo petrol putting out 100 PS and 160 Nm along with a five-speed MT or a five-speed AMT in NA and a CVT in the turbo.
It boasts 29.1 liters cabin storage, 10.5 liters of storage capacity in the glove box, and boot space capacity of more than 400 liters along with a ground clearance of around 205 mm helping in tackling big potholes.
The Kiger will be in six color options white, planet grey, moonlight grey, mahogany brown, Caspian blue, and radiant red with a mystery black roof.
Features
The exterior has more sporty than Kwid and Triber. It comes with a split headlamp cluster with the tri beam of lights.
The chrome front grille with the Renault badge is accompanied by sharp-looking LED Daytime Running Lights, a sloping roofline, short rear overhangs, roof rails, C-shaped LED tail lamps, and so on.

The cabin comprises features such as a wireless charger, a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and connectivity options, an all-digital instrument cluster, a multi-functional steering wheel, etc.
