From Mahindra Group

This car is in news and in rumours from years about the features and specs. As per the news XUV 700 launch is the replacement of it’s most successful junior XUV 500 and will be loaded with tons of new features to outstand others.

At the start of 2021 Mahindra has great sales in India, as a result of it Mahindra is coming up with a brand new launch of the Mahindra XUV 700 and here we are to share the expected features and specs details of XUV 700 according to the rumours and the news.

Mahindra & Mahindra have not yet revealed anything about the car, and no one yet knows what features this car will have to compete it’s rivals. Expectation has come after spotting the test mule of the car dressed in camouflage and few spy shots of interiors and dashboard.

This car is being designed by it’s very owned car design company Pininfarina. As per the news the car will be bigger in all aspects than its successor and also will look more muscular. Design will be more modern and futuristic than any other models available in India.

As per the given update by the Mahindra company, the XUV 700 launch happen by September 2021 and as per the rumours, it will be a part of evolution. So here in this post, we’re going to cover as much details as we know so far about the all-new Mahindra XUV 700. If you’re interested in buying one and eagerly waiting for it, then stay tuned till the end to know more about it.

Let’s see the expected features of this car in segments:

Exterior and Interior

If we talk about the exterior, then the car is gonna be slightly bigger than the existing XUV 500 with major design changes to look more modern and attractive. More muscular design will be introduced with new stunning colours.

XUV 700 is gonna be a much bigger SUV than the XUV 500. XUV 500 is already a bigger SUV and the launch of the XUV 700 will make it even bigger. The size of the new XUV will be compared to the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. XUV 700 has an increased wheelbase than it’s successor to offer more stretched and comfortable leg room inside the passengers. So, it might come with bigger boot space after folding 3rd row seats. Where you can store more luggage or might be a bicycle.

On the interior side, some spy shots have revealed a Mercedes Benz like large main infotainment screen in the center to display more information than the current model. Instrument cluster will be fully digital to serve best and safety information to the driver.

On the other hand, climate control dual zone A/C for front and rear row passengers will also be available as it is already available for the XUV300. This dual zone climate control AC feature is becoming standard in the segment and almost. All cars priced 9 lakh plus are offering this climate control feature.

Ventilated and heated seats will also be available for the front row passengers to give best confort.

Engines and Powertrains

As we know the Mahindra XUV 700 launch is the new replacement of the existing XUV 500, it will be powered by the second generation engines that’s the 2.0 litre petrol and 2.2 litre diesel engines that are likely set in higher states of tune and in addition to the manual and automatic transmission options.

If we talk about the features, the Mahindra XUV 700 will offer a larger infotainment display system as compared to other Mahindra models. Along with that, you get a digital instrument cluster and up check on the weather you get a dual-zone climate control and for the Comfort drive, Mahindra offers you ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof.

Existing XUV 500 comes with 2.2 L mHawk engine:

  • 2.2 L mHawk 155 – 155 BHP, 360 NM, 15.1 kmpl, 6 Speed MT/AT, 2WD

Where New XUV 700 will come in two different engines where Petrol and Diesel option will be available, these engines will also be mild hybrid:

  • Diesel: 2.2 L mHawk 4 Cylinder – 178 BHP, 380 NM, 16 kmpl, 6 Speed MT/AT, 2 & 4 WD
  • Petrol: 2.0 L mStallion 4 Cylinder – 187 BHP, 380 NM, 13 kmpl, 6 Speed MT/AT, 2 & 4 WD

If we see the difference between current model and upcoming model’s diesel engines then the new upcoming engine is well refined and has optimized for better fuel efficiency and power output. Where the old engine runs 15.1 kmpl the new engine will run upto 16 kmpl. Just 900 meters more average per litre is not a huge bump, but still it makes more value in the long term where we burn 1000-n-1000 litres of diesels then it will get 1000 of extra kilometers without any cost.

Not just the extra miles added, but more power will also be impressive too to boost the performance and make it more muscular. 23 more BHP and 20 more NM will make this even more powerful than Ford Endeavour, where Endeavour outputs 168 BHP only for a mighty and bulky body.

The real comparison will be published soon, as soon as specifications of XUV 700 will be published by Mahindra itself, which is mostly going to be revealed in September 2021.

Rivals of the All New XUV 700 2021

Talking about the competition and rivals then XUV 700 launch is making hype and it’s successor is a well known model by Mahindra, and has a good sales record and earned loyalty. The new launches of Mahindra are now becoming quite successful as compared to previous models. The new XUV300 became successful after struggling to sell KUV100 and TUV300. Old Mahindra Thar was first choice to off-roader but did not have great sales records, but the new upgrade made it even more successful and bumped the sales record of Mahindra Thar multiple times than the old sales records of Thar.

Same we can expect from the new model of Mahindra XUV 700. It will really be a very tough competition with other manufacturers recently launched models like Tata Safari 2021, MG Hector and Hyundai Alcazar and Volkswagen.T-Roc 2021.

Tata Safari is an iconic SUV, which has been reimagined by Tata for it’s customers who were still missing the Tata Safari and wanted it back with modern technology and performance. So the rebirth of the legend made so many customers happy again and.increased the sales of Tata motors. It is quite an impressive and muscular SUV and directly rivals the Mahindra XUV 500. Similarly, the new launch of XUV will also have competition with Tata Safari 2021.

Not just the Tata Sari 2021, there are more already in the Indian market with great sales. The new XUV 700 will definitely steal more customers from them because of the new stunning look and price. The real competition will be with recently launched Hyundai Alcazar, in the comparison of interior and features.

Safety and Pricing

Mahindra’s cars are known as the safest cars already. So the same and better safety assurity and safety tech is expected from XUV 700 launch. Mahindra XUV 700 could equip the SUV with level 1 autonomous technology. The XUV will be offered with autonomous emergency braking and a lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control. Along with that, you get all side safety airbags.

If we talk about the pricing of the XUV 700 then it is expected to be priced between Rs 14 lakh to Rs 21 lakh. Not so expensive in comparison to the existing XUV 500, costs Rs 13.56 Lakh for base variant and Rs 19.31 Lakh for top variant.

If we talk about the competition then the all new Tata Safari costs between Rs. 14.99 Lakh to Rs. 21.8 Lakh and recently launched Hyundai Alcazar costs between Rs. 16.30 Lakh to 20.14 Lakh, and MG Hector cost starts from Rs. 13.17 Lakh and ends at Rs. 22.23 Lakh.
