New Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022: The Launch

Crafted for the modern Indian consumers, the launch of the new-gen Baleno has disrupted the Indian automotive industry and has set benchmarks aimed to inspire, creating a unique and exclusive customer journey with the ever-stylish, tech-enabled, and bold new looks and features.

Mr. Kenichi Ayukawa- Managing Director and CEO gave a welcoming speech and announced the launch of new Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022. In his speech, he announced about the 2.7 lakh bookings received, promising to fulfil this demand at the earliest and keeping the customer expectation pleasing as always.

Mr. Shashank Srivastav, Senior Executive Director Marketing & Sales for Maruti Suzuki India pointed out that Baleno has been a game-changer model for Maruti Suzuki and went on to list the wonderful package the New Age Baleno has to offer to its customers to suit their lifestyles perfectly. He added about the staggering response received by the customers with the brand new Baleno being sold every 3 minutes.

The new age Baleno, as stated by Mr. Srivastav will be the first model in the Nexa lineup to feature the Crafted Futurism Design language on the inside and the outside as well.

1. Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022: Exterior Design

Even with a range of changes made to make the car look fresh, the overall silhouette of the Baleno remains unchanged. The addition of the next wider front grille adds a bold touch to the new age Baleno. Below the grille, there is a brushed silver strip extending to the headlights. The bold features and appeal are further enhanced with the new & slimmer 3-element LED headlamps with DRLs, redesigned fog lamp housing, updated front and rear bumpers, new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, new LED taillights.

2. Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022: Interior & Features

The interiors of the new age Baleno get an extensive feature list of passenger comforts, infotainment, and safety. It comes with a sensorial driving experience with the HUD-Heads up Display designed to show relevant data to let your focus stay on the road. It also comes equipped with a 9-inch HD display Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay & Amazon Alexa Support, Suzuki Connect-connected car tech powered by Arkamys-tuned audio system offering the best acoustic sound experience.

The fully loaded Baleno also comes with tilt & telescopic steering adjustment, auto-dimming IRVM keyless entry, automatic climate control, better cabin insulation for a quieter driving experience. The seats are in a 60:40 arrangement with rear seat adjustable headrests and front seats with sliding armrest.

3. Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022: Engine & Gearbox

Powering the refreshed Baleno is a solitary 90PS powered sole 1.2-litre, four-cylinder DualJet K12N petrol engine that produces 113 Nm torque. The engine can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox with ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency of 22.35kmpl, while the new AMT versions return 22.94kmpl.

Baleno also gets a new suspension setup along with larger 14-inch disc brakes at all four corners offering a much better ride quality, especially on the Indian roads.

5. Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022: Safety Features

New age Baleno comes equipped with 20+ safety features and is positioned on the Heartect platform with its chassis and body parts made of stronger grade steel. It also includes 6 airbags, ESP with hill hold assist, ABS with EBD & brake assist, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, immobilizer, high-speed alert system. Additionally, it comes with a 360° view camera to make maneuvering around tight spots an absolute breeze.

6. Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022: Variants, Colour Options, Bookings & Price

Maruti Baleno 2022 is presented in Sigma, Delta, Zelta, and Alpha variants with additional two variants which are optional of Zelta (O) & Alpha (O) which are further divided into 11 variants.

The base variant prices start at ₹6.35 lakh that goes up to ₹9.49 lakh with higher variants (ex-showroom).

Bookings have already begun officially for the New Baleno and the deliveries are set to begin from today itself.

The new Baleno will also be offered under Maruti’s subscription scheme, with monthly fees starting at Rs 13,999 which includes vehicle registration, maintenance, insurance, and roadside assistance.

The new Baleno comes with metallic colour options like Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Nexa Blue, Opulent Red & Luxe Beige.
