The electric vehicles market is expanding. There is a growing demand for electric vehicles in India. With this in mind, many new EVs are coming into the market. US electric car manufacturer Tesla is now arriving in India and preparing for operations.
MG Motor will also introduce its second electric vehicle (EV) battery on the Indian market in the country within the next two years. The price of this electric vehicle will be less than Rs 20 lakh according to a senior company official.
It is the second e-vehicle of the company. In the field of electric cars, MG has the ZS SUV in India already, with the price ranging between Rs 21 and Rs 24.18 lakh.
MG Motor India Chairman and CEO Rajeev Chaba say: “In the future, the company is planning to bring more electric cars and its second EV will cost less than Rs20 lakh in the Indian market.”

The launch plan of the new MG electric car was postponed by a few weeks because of the second wave of COVID-19. Due to the situation and the shortage of building materials, the new electric MG car will probably hit the roads over the next two years.
The 2021 MG ZS EV was launched in February by MG Motor India. It has a certified battery pack of 44,5 kWh of Hi-Tech IP6. The engine produces a maximum power of 141 bhp and a maximum torque of 353 Nm. It can give a range of 419 km once fully charged
