Go Green! Mahindra launches fully electric sedan e-Verito at Rs 9.5 lakh
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has launched the all new eVerito, the electric version of Verito sedan in starting Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
As the Government of Delhi has started strictly following the ban of diesel, Mahindra has taken a good opportunity to launch its electric car, e- Verito. Also the Govt. has started giving subsidies to electric vehicles.
The e-Verito has been launched in three variants and is priced at Rs 9.5 lakh, Rs 9.75 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. It can be charged in 1.45 hours and has a range of 110 kms.
The electric sedan was first showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.
The car is a fully electric version of the Mahindra e-Verito sedan and is the company’s second full electric vehicle to launch in India.
The car is powered by a Li-Ion 72 Volt battery pack that takes 8 hours and 45 minutes to charge. If you opt for D6 variant, it comes equipped with Fast Charging that charges the battery cells in just 1 hour and 45 minutes. One thing, which has to be noted here is that this facility is only available in Mahindra Electric Fast Charging Station.
With a fully-charged battery pack, e-Verito has a total range of 110 km, which can be slightly increased with the standard regenerative braking feature. Also with the pedal to floor, the e-Verito can hit a top-speed of 86 km/h.
There are some of the standard equipment, which include an infotainment system, electric ORVMs, alloy wheels, follow-me headlamps, and keyless entry. It also has a ‘REVIVE’ feature, where the drivetrain squeezes out an extra 8 km of range when the power levels are low.
Mahindra will soon launch its hybrid version and the new e-Verito is a versatile addition to Mahindra’s portfolio.
