Launching New 2021 Mahindra Thar 180 mStallion Pro

All new second generation Mahindra Thar launched on 2nd October 2020 and now in 2021 Mahindra & Mahindra is ready to launch it’s more powerful variants with more speed and more new colours. The upcoming Mahindra Thar would get two new colour schemes in 2021. In reality, a few times, the SUV has been spotted trying new White and Silver paint jobs.

According to a recent report, Mahindra & Mahindra is working on a new turbocharged petrol engine called 180 mStallion Pro. The new gasoline engine is likely to debut on the 2021 Mahindra Thar.

More Power, More Speed in New Mahindra Thar 180

While the technical specifications of the new powertrain are still under cover, it is likely to be more powerful and quicker than the current Thar gasoline engine. At present, the lightweight off-roader comes with a 2.0L, 4-cylinder mStallion petrol engine that produces a maximum output of 150bhp and 320Nm of torque. 

It’s capable of achieving a maximum speed of 150 km/h. The new 180 mStallion Pro engine is said to be given a top speed of 180 km/h.

Know The Price of New Mahindra Thar 180

Recently, the carmaker has raised the costs of off-road SUVs. The 2021 Mahindra Thar model lineup consists of 9 models with convertible and hardtop options. The prices of the Thar petrol start from Rs 12.10 lakhs for the entry level AX(O) petrol manual convertible and go up to Rs 13.95 lakhs for the LX petrol automatic hardtop model.

 Diesel models are available in the price range of Rs 12.30 lakhs to Rs 14.05 lakhs. All prices are ex-showroom prices.

Arrival Of Mahindra XUV500 and Scorpio 

The home-grown carmaker will be carrying out the new-generation Mahindra XUV500 and Scorpio in the coming months.  It is estimated that the former will arrive in April, the latter will arrive by June 2021. In terms of design and features, both SUVs will undergo crucial improvements. 

Currently, there may be big improvements under the hood. With new mStallion petrol and more powerful diesel engines, the 2021 Mahindra XUV500 and Scorpio will arrive. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer.
