This special version of the model is said to arrive this festive season.

The Kia Sonata Anniversary Edition will be similar to the standard model, known as the HTX trim. It will include leatherette steering wheel and gear, air conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry and go, rear centre armrest, rear seat adjustable headrest with headrests that fold upright for extra storage space in the cargo area, sunroof, Isofix child seat mounts – which are convenient when there are young children in the family – remote engine start, LED front and rear DRLs (daytime running lamps), daytime-running lights of course plus projector fog lamps and auto LED headlamps.
When it comes to the design of the new Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition – there is not much that will be changed. That being said, this model will come equipped with Tangerine colored accents on the front grille, wheel caps, skid plates, and side sills as well as an Anniversary Edition logo. Year of commemoration special offers are also expected to become available on some models including the new Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition.
Interior and Exterior
This special edition model features the HTX trim with some added color to make it stand out. Additional highlights include anniversary badges and differently shaped wheel skirts to make the car look more appealing. Interior decorations will also match the look of the exterior elements. This would be a great addition for fans of the Sonet who like to express their individuality!
Engine and Gearbox
In India, the Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. These include a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol motor with 118bhp and 172 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed Data Communications Timing electronic dual clutch transmission (DCT). The diesel variant features a 1.5-liter motor which produces 120bhp and 195 Nm of torque. It is offered with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox as well!
In addition to all the fixes that have been applied, the new Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition is likely to carry a premium of around Rs 40,000 above the standard trim. The car will retail for between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This price hike may not be so friendly on your wallet, but it can still be a good option for those who want their cars to bring them pride through their unique looks.
As per the information available from a leaked brochure, four colours have been planned for the upcoming Sonet Anniversary Edition; they are Glacier White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey and Silver Steel.
