Kawasaki Z650RS retro motorcycle is likely to launch in India by 2022. The new Kawasaki retro bike will have 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. It will compete against Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Honda CB650R.

Design

Kawasaki Z650RS could be expected to sport a teardrop fuel tank, flat seat with a ribbed pattern, upswept exhaust, rounded headlight as well as mirrors. The motorcycle should be expected to get a full LED light setup, 4.3 inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. It will ride on alloy wheels and it will have a wheelbase of 1405mm and weight up to 190 kg.

Engine, Transmission and Performance

Kawasaki Z650RS is expected to be powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 67hp of max power at 8000rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 6700rpm. The engine should be mated with a 6-speed gearbox and it will hit a top speed of 191 km/h.

In terms of safety equipment, the Kawasaki Z650RS motorcycle will be equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS. The bike will get telescopic forks suspension on the front side and a horizontal back-link unit with adjustable preload on the rear end.
