Hyundai Creta celebrates its first anniversary in India, launches three new variants

Hyundai, the Korean automaker has introduced three new variants of the Creta in India — the Anniversary Edition, the Diesel SX+ Automatic and the Executive version (E+). Hyundai has managed to sell 13000 units of the Creta in the month of July, the highest units ever sold in a month. The Creta was launched in July last year and since then it has been selling like hot cakes. As of now, 1.25 lakh Creta have been sold.

Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition was revealed recently during a ceremony where it was presented to ace shuttler Saina Nehwal. The 1st Anniversary Edition was presented to her to honour her achievements, the most recent one being her win at the Australian Open Championship.

So here are the three variants that are launched:

Hyundai Creta E+:

The new petrol variant of the SUV costs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes with a 1.6-litre VTVT. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which puts out 121bhp. The new variant features a 5-inch touchscreen audio system, steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls and tweeters. In terms of design, it has a sporty-looking roof rail, electrically-adjustable ORVMs with LED turn indicators and rear AC vents.

Hyundai Creta S+:

The next is a new automatic trim mid variant S+, which is priced at Rs.13.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SUV comes powered by the same 126bhp 1.6L CRDi VGT engine coupled with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Hyundai Creta SX+:

The third variant is the SX+ variant, with both 1.6-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel appearances. The new Creta anniversary edition will come with two-tone colour – black roof and white body and sporty graphics. Also, it gets 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels in place of the 16-inchers found on the standard model. Inside, it has an all-black dashboard with red accents, premium black seat fabric with red inserts. It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen AVN system, and leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth controls. The petrol variant is priced at Rs.12.23 lakh and the diesel version is priced at Rs.13.76 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
