Hero Maestro Edge 125 Gets Hero Connect App. India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCrop had launched its connectivity platform ‘Hero Connect’ in Feb last year. Hero Connect is currently available as an option in Xpulse 200, Xtreme 160R, Destini 125, Pleasure Plus, and Pleasure Plus Platinum.
Hero Connect features are classified into three categories – Rider Safety, Vehicle Safety, and Driving Report. Vehicle safety has some of the most useful and important features such as live tracking, Speed alert, Topple alert, Geo-fencing, Hero locate, Tow way alert, and Parking spot locator.
In terms of Rider Safety, Hero Connect offers to topple alert feature. This was recently introduced with Xpulse 200. In case the vehicle topples, a notification is automatically sent to the emergency contact saved by the user.
It is possible that Hero MotoCrop may add more rider safety features in a future version of the Hero Connect App. Other features are available in Hero Connect including trip analysis, driving score, speed alert.

Engine, Transmisson and Performance
There are not any machinal and other updates apart from Hero Connect. Hero Maestro Edge 125 is powered by the same 124.6cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SI Engine that produces 9 bhp of max power at 7000 rpm. and 10.4 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm. The engine is mated with a Variomatic Drive gearbox.
Specifications and Price
The Scooter comes with telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock suspension at the rear. In terms of braking gets a drum brake on both front and rear wheels and the option for a disc for the front wheels.
The price of the new Hero Maestro Edge 125 starts at Rs 73,450 and goes up to Rs 81,900. Hero Maestro Edge 125 offered 4 variants and 6 color options. It rivals TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125 as well as Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid.
