Bajaj Auto and TVS have been launched their electric scooter. Now Hero MotoCorp panning to launch its electric scooter in 2022. Hero Motocorp one of the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturers. Pawan Munjal, Chairman of the company has already invested heavily in Ather Energy, Hero has so many resources to bound an electric scooter.
Hero MoroCorp has now announced that it will launch its first electric product at the end of the FY2021-22 financial year. Progress of making an electric scooter has confirmed by CFO, Niranjan Gupta.
Hero motor partner with Gogoro currently working on a fixed and flexible battery of EVs. Gogoro’s electric scooter and motorcycle will be sold by Hero. Even addition to its models, Hero Motocorp can also launch motorcycles that have been introduced to Gogoro. As of now no confirmation on that.
Will Hero electric scooter based on Maestro Edge?
Hero Motor’s first electric scooter is expected to be based on Maestro Edge which has been tested several times a few months ago. Hero electric scooter would carry all features of Electric Maestro Edge and add several new features as well. Hero electric scooter is currently being developed at the R&D company center in Jaipur.

It will get features like gold-colored alloy wheels and front forks, smoked LED lamp, and visor-out visor and rear mirrors.
Hero electric scooter would some other features too like fully digital instrument cluster with built-in GPS and Bluetooth connectivity, fast charging option, better range with good performance. It would be mainly Bajaj Chetak and Ather Rival.
