Yesterday, BMW unveiled the redesign of the BMW 6 Series GT in 2021 in India at an initial price of Rs 67.90 lakh (ex-showroom). With the three variants offered, the price of the updated 6 Series Gran Turismo rises to Rs 77.90 lakh (front room of the show). As of today, the car can be booked at all BMW car dealerships across the country.
BMW 6 Series GT – Engine & Specification
The 6 Series GT is powered by a set of three engines. 2.0 liter petrol with a torque of 255bhp / 400Nm, a 2.0 liter motor diesel with a torque of 188bhp / 400 Nm and a 3.0 liter diesel with a torque of 261bhp / 620Nm. It automatically transmits eight gears automatically across the range.

BMW 6 Series GT – Style & Features
The preview of the BMW 6 GT also looks similar to the previous model that played on the roof similar to the slope that descended into the boot section. To replicate it, BMW used the front and rear bumpers to make it look more aggressive. Even flexible LED lights are reduced to new L-shaped DRLs. The slats standing on the signed kidney grille are now finished in chrome which gives it an extra premium appeal. It also finds a new design of different LED lights with both graphics and active tail pipelines.

Inside, the layout of the cabinet remains the same as in the old model with the use of dual cooling color. It also gets two screen settings. The infotainment system and digital collection of both 12.3-inch hardware are severely limited to a dashboard in addition to other features such as panoramic sunroof, ambient lamps, pre-configured front seats with memory function, space control, Type-C USB spaces, charging wireless, and entertainment background screens. It also has a button over 600 liters of start-up space.

The 2021 BMW 6 Series GT continues to be offered three powertrain options while the 630d producing 265 horsepower speeds from zero to 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds.

BMW 6 Series GT – Reval & Alternatives
With the largest length and wheelbarrow than the 5 Series sedan, GT competes with the Mercedes-Benz E-class LWB (Rs 63.60-80.90 lakh), which also received a recent redesign. As such, the model forms an integral part of BMW’s India-up plan, which is why car makers have decided to introduce an updated version even before the 5 Series facelift is also due this year.
Notably, the 6 Series GT has continued in India, although BMW has removed it from the shelf in global markets, such as the UK and US, where a change in consumer preferences in SUVs has had a negative impact on its sales.
