Hyundai Motors Indonesia recently unveiled the design sketches of the newly-refreshed 2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift. The company also stated that it will serve as a update for the vehicle exclusively for its customers in India by 2022.
The Hyundai Creta is the undisputed leader in India’s SUV market. When the second-gen model debuted in March 2020, its popularity only continued to soar. With its impressive list of standard features along with an exceptionally refined engine at a price point that’s very hard to beat, it’s no surprise monthly sales have been overwhelming.
When the Creta first launched, it gave Hyundai’s sales and market share in India a powerful boost. It was thanks to its current generation model which came with new tech, styling and interior space over what was offered before. It made Hyundai more competitive against other automakers in India’s new car market. The facelifted Creta gets a better front grille that is completely different from the other models in its range. It has a new design, which makes it seem more youthful and should help put a smile on first-time buyers’ faces. LED DRLs have been added along with additional LEDs for the dipped headlights inspired by the Tucson model.
The back of the car seen here features boomerang-shaped taillights that are almost identical to the current version but with slight design differences. The boot also seems to have been improved, the boot also seems revised with a new better-mounted stop lamp in addition to a number of potential new features.

Hyundai Car India may release the Hyundai Creta facelift with additional features and high-end safety technology. The current version can be purchased with features including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-speaker Bose premium sound system and panoramic sunroof, among others; and also standard Blue Link connectivity technology that offers nearly 50+ features. It’s likely that the 2022 Creta will have more of these sorts of advanced technologies to ward off potential threats from competitors like MG Motors’ newly-launched Astor SUV.

Safety is very important in India. The 2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift is expected to include many safety features. These include a driver fatigue detector that will alert the driver if they are beginning to tire behind the wheel, an adaptive high light that automatically detects when it is getting too dark and adjusts its intensity to ensure visibility on the road stays clear, and an adaptive speed control function that automatically regulates vehicle speed in relation to the traffic situation. Six airbags and disc brakes for all four wheels ensure maximum safety and stability of the car. The car also has an autonomous braking system and a left convergence feature that prevents collisions with oncoming vehicles.

Hyundai’s CRETA 2022 model line will be made available with three engines in 2022. The larger 1.5 liter petrol engine will offer 115hp/144Nm output, the 1.5 liter diesel motor will produce 115hp/250Nm of power, and the 1.4 liter turbo-petrol unit will yield 140hp/242Nm in terms of torque production. Transmission options are likely to include 6-speed manuals, 6-speed automatic torque converter units, and 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmissions.
2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift: Pricing
The current-generation Hyundai CRETA model starts at Rs. 10.16 lakh (ex-showroom). There’s no word yet on a potential price hike for the upcoming 2022 variant, but it is anticipated to carry a slight price increase as compared to the previous version. The CRETA is expected to rival the Skoda Kushaq, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor when it is launched in India .
